How do I extract data from documents?

Open your documents and specify the fields, rows, and output shape you need. Ask Nudocs to flag missing values and include source references, then check the result against the files.

Example request

“Extract supplier names, invoice dates, totals, and line items. Keep one record per invoice, show where each value came from, and flag anything missing.”

01

Choose the fields

Name the values you need and specify an output shape, such as a table with one row per invoice. Include how to represent missing information.

02

Check the full result

Compare the number of records and line items with the source documents. Look for repeated headers, continued tables, and values that need interpretation.

03

Follow the references

Check important values against their source passages. Keep missing or uncertain values visible instead of filling gaps with guesses.

What to check

Results depend on the source documents and the task. Check field and row coverage; a readable table alone does not establish that every value was captured correctly.
